POP-UP BARBERSHOP
✹
We collaborated with Mad Bash Group, Canadian Blood Services, photographer Rachel Simpson, Make Lemonade, and a team of barbers and volunteers to bring a multi-day pop-up barbershop to life in a Toronto mall—just in time for Valentine’s Day. The goal: attract young men aged 17–35 to register as stem cell donors for the thousands of Canadians still searching for their match.
Mad Bash dreamed up the barbershop concept, offering free haircuts and a rose to take home, while we reimagined a vintage barbershop using Canadian Blood Services’ branding. We created an immersive space with custom signage, faux tile flooring, a barbershop door and window, and playful graphics that stayed true to the CBS brand.
With support from volunteers—including two young twin girls currently searching for a match—we registered hundreds of new donors while creating a fun, educational, and meaningful experience.
For this project we provided event graphic design, rendering, signage, event branding and on-site facilitation.
